KC Heartland Campaign Garners National Attention for the OneKC Region

by Lexi Ryan | Feb 25, 2021

The KC Heartland Campaign kicked off 2021 driving national awareness of our region as a top place to live and build a career.

Utilizing data collected through the campaign over the past year, we created a robust KC Heartland digital marketing strategy with key KC messages in 20 target markets. Riding alongside the excitement of the Super Bowl, KC Heartland garnered 1.8 million social media impressions and more than 2,600 new visitors to KC.org. Alongside digital ads, KC Heartland reached 578 million online readers with visibility  in ESPN, Fox Business, MSNBC and Baltimore Positive, and in local media on Fox 4, KCTV5 and KMBC.

Following the big game, KC Heartland continued to share the love with a mini campaign for Valentine’s Day.  Along with sharing holiday-specific content as it relates to KC, a series of digital valentines were created for KC Heartland ambassadors and social media followers to share with their loved ones. KC Heartland is also celebrating  Black History Month, sharing content to shine a spotlight on KC’s black-owned businesses and stories of individuals in the community.

Looking forward, the KC Heartland campaign will continue to execute targeted marketing outreach in key markets, focusing on responsive demographics and proven messaging. Additionally, we’re continuing to grow the KC Heartland Ambassador program, engaging individuals with pride for the KC region.

Join more than 600 individuals who are sharing KC love with the world  by signing up to be a KC Heartland Ambassador today.
